Overall our experience was good I would say it’s a little unorganised as when we turned up there were builders in the spa area who made it seem like the area was closed but cannot complain about how quickly the reception staff and manger sorted the issues out. We were upgraded to the face and body massage which was amazing, the best we’ve had. The relaxation room is disappointing as the room was cold so couldn’t sit on the loungers for long if you were wet. I wouldn’t go to that spa again as I don’t think it’s worth being a spa day but would recommend the treatments as they were so good.

I had a lovely spa morning here with a friend. It was quiet, peaceful and exactly what we needed to recharge a little. We both had amazing massages. I very nearly fell asleep on the table! Thank you very much, we hope to visit again soon.

Lovely hotel, staff were pleasant. The treatments were great. The spa itself was minimal and not the greatest. But overall my husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa serve afternoon tea?

Yes! The best way to indulge yourself after a pampering spa day, traditional afternoon tea is served in the restaurant that’s just a short stroll away from the treatment rooms.

Treat yourself to smoked salmon sandwiches and mini Victoria sponges, or choose from the handcrafted vegan options including a chick-less coronation and a plant-based red velvet cake (subject to availability).

Does the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa have a swimming pool?

No, it’s a treatment-only spa so it can concentrate on providing a unique and specialised experience for your face, body, and nails.

What are the check-in and check-out times for overnight stays?

Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 11am for all guests.

Is the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa family-friendly?

While guests must be 16 to visit the spa, little ones are, of course, welcome in the hotel. Junior Suites make great family rooms thanks to comfortable sofa beds with space for two small children or one big teen.

While you’re here, make sure to visit Fairytale Farm. This separate attraction is just one-minute away from the hotel’s front door and mixes adventure play with animals. It’s suitable for all, but what makes it unique is that disabled children came first in the farm’s design and layout so everyone is included.

Is the Cotswolds Hotel, Spa & Golf accessible?

Yes. Many rooms are located on the ground floor, but Junior Suites are only accessible via stairs. There’s an accessible room with a roll-in shower. Some rooms are located a short walk away from the main hotel. For specific enquiries, call ahead to confirm.

Is the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa pet-friendly?

Sorry. No pets allowed at the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa.

Is the Cotswolds Hotel, Spa & Golf close to Chipping Norton?

The upmarket Chipping Norton is a 30-minute walk or a four-minute drive away. Called ‘Chippy’ by the locals, it’s full of the honey-hued buildings the Cotswolds is famous for. Lively and attractive, you’ll find great restaurants and shops. Some three miles south of Chipping Norton there’s Chadlington, best known as the home of Diddly Squat Farm, Jeremy Clarkson’s famous farming estate.

Does the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa have a golf course?

Like to pamper and par? The golf course at the Cotswold Hotel & Spa is a stunning focal point. Called The Cotswolds Club, it was recently voted one of the top three golf courses in Oxfordshire. Expect an undulating 6,284 yard, 18-hole, par 72 golf course with tree-lined fairways that are suitable for golfers of all abilities.
