The food comes with a noticeable Cumbrian influence, with plenty of emphasis on fresh, locally-produced ingredients. This is a fabulous eatery that will make you want to come back time and time again.

Overall we enjoyed our time at the spa, the treatments were great and the spa area itself was clean and appealing. However there were a few points which could be improved - as the pool has shared access with day/hotel guests and some exercise classes it was very hard to have use of this and the hot tub. In addition, we weren’t informed of where we would be eating lunch until the time of, and we had to walk all the way through the hotel and sit in a communal area (we were in swimwear and robes) where other day guests were. It felt very uncomfortable, had we have known we would have gotten changed - we think this should be moved to a more private area near the spa floor.

A really enjoyable experience. Great facilities and had plenty of time to access them all, especially enjoyed the pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Lunch was tasty and the service was excellent.

The hotel and the spa are fantastic along with the food and the staff. The only thing worth mentioning is that on a weekend the times in which kids are able to use the pool is prime time so it wasn’t as relaxing as we had hoped for. But that’s nothing against the spa or hotel itself it’s just worth the mention as I hadn’t read that before booking.
