What is a mother and daughter spa day?
A mother and daughter spa day is simply a package specifically tailored for an adult daughter and her mother.
Understandably, mother and daughter spa days are particularly popular around Mother’s Day. As well as being a wonderful treat to enjoy on Mothering Sunday itself, spa days make terrific gifts that you and your mum can enjoy at a later date.
If you want to book a spa day or spa break for Mother’s Day weekend, our advice is to plan well ahead, as certain packages are popular on these dates.
Even though the packages are geared towards mothers and daughters, you are, of course, free to take your aunt, niece, grandmother, sister, best friend, or anyone else with whom you want to share some relaxation and pampering.
What can you expect from a mother and daughter spa day?
A mother and daughter spa day package will usually feature one or more spa treatments and access to the spa’s leisure facilities, which may include a thermal suite, swimming pool and relaxation areas.
Many packages will also include either lunch or afternoon tea, making them a refined way to enjoy a day away from the usual routine and catch-up with mum.
Most packages will allow you to arrive at the spa from 10am and depart by 5pm or 6pm, giving you plenty of time to enjoy what the spa has to offer. However, if you want to extend your experience, mother and daughter spa breaks are also available. These feature one or more night’s accommodation at the spa’s hotel, plus other inclusions, such as breakfast and dinner.
Spa treatments you may enjoy as part of your package
Inclusions in a mother and daughter spa day will vary between packages. However, most will include at least one spa treatment. Treatments will either be inclusive or chosen from a menu. Popular choices are facials, massages and manicures/pedicures.
