About
Need to recharge your batteries? Leave your cares (and the kids) behind and book yourself a blissful adults-only spa package at Alvaston Hall. This grown-up Warner retreat is set in a Grade II-listed half-timbered country house that’s seriously easy-on-the-eye. Whether you seek rest and relaxation or activity and fun, this is the place to be. An alphabet of wellness classes, from aqua aerobics to Zumba, makes a great way to reconnect with loved ones. Hit the gym, but if the great outdoors is calling there’s also pitch and putt, archery or croquet to be savoured in the open air.
But if all that all sounds a bit too energetic, you're free to just check-in and chill-out at Alvaston Hall’s luxurious spa and wellness centre. Put your slipper-clad feet up in the tranquil relaxation room. Flit between the indoor pool, sauna and steam room, or head to three zen-like treatment rooms where therapists work their magic with luxurious Templespa products.
Just a five-minute drive from the historic riverside town of Nantwich, and seven minutes from buzzing Crewe, day-trip opportunities abound. History lover? The beautiful Roman-walled city of Chester is around 35 minutes away by car. And because it’s set right in the middle of the pretty Cheshire countryside, you’re in pole position for the exceptional retail therapy of Manchester and Liverpool, too.

The Spa & Wellness at Alvaston Hall
Craving some me-time? Let Alvaston Hall’s spa and wellness club be the sanctuary you seek.
Your journey to tranquility starts at the light-flooded indoor pool. With a huge expanse of glass providing uninterrupted sky and countryside views, there really is no better place to swim than these crystal-clear waters.
Unwind in the traditional Scandinavian sauna, or soak in the deliciously warm spa pool. Heated to a perfect 36 degrees, the bubbles will iron out any kinks and soothe your aching muscles.
Breathe deeply in the absolute humidity of the steam room, infused with herbal essences. But if you’re after something a little different, try the tropicarium. Like a sauna and steam room combined, the less intense heat with medium humidity makes it feel like you’re on holiday!
And just when you thought you couldn’t relax anymore, it’s time for your treatment. Seasoned spa connoisseurs will love that the spa has partnered with Templespa. From results-driven facials to problem-solving massages, everything this luxurious British skin care brand offers feels extra special, and ultra-soothing.
First-timer? Alvaston Hall’s experienced therapists will make you feel completely at ease and comfortable. You’ll be hooked!
Then, after a post-treatment chill in the relaxation room, head for a mani, pedi or beauty treat. Jessica and Mii Cosmetics provide the perfect finishing touch, ensuring that you’ll leave Alvaston Hall’s spa glowing from top to toe.

Is there accommodation at Alvaston Hall?
There is. With 253 rooms in total, you’ll be spoilt for choice. But will you go for a historic suite or for something more contemporary?
Built in Victorian times, the original main house offers 33 rooms with original oak and lashings of period features. However if you’ve got limited mobility, take note! There’s no lift here and rooms are accessed via a stairway next to reception.
Attached to the main building and close to both reception and the Fountains Bar, the Limes is a mixture of 75 Standard, Signature and large, wheelchair accessible Royale rooms with original sleigh beds and oak furniture.
Fairways is the newest part of the hotel, with 127 contemporary rooms arranged either side of a long corridor. Standard rooms here directly overlook the wildlife walk or leisure centre while the Signature and Royale suites boast fabulous countryside views.
