Want to bike before breakfast or lunge before lunch? It’s easy at Bryn Meadows. Prepare to feel the burn in style, because the fabulous Fusion leisure club is crammed with the latest kit. 

The air-conditioned, 30-station gym features Life Fitness cardio and resistance machines plus a free weights area. Cardio machines have an integrated LCD screen, letting you catch up with your favourite channels as you work up a sweat.

More water baby than gym bunny? At 18m, the indoor pool is long enough for a few energetic laps. You can always rest your tired muscles with a long, relaxing session in the hydro spa, pine sauna and stone mosaic steam room afterwards.

But if you prefer your exercise in the fresh air, you’re spoilt for choice. Bryn Meadows’ championship golf course lets you practice your swing, or hit the state-of-the-art golf simulator and take on some of the world’s best fairways. But for a challenging hike, why not take the 55-minute drive to the spectacular Brecon Beacons? 

If focusing on your self-care has left you feeling peckish, you’re in luck. Many of the spa packages at Bryn Meadows also include a delicious lunch, dinner or afternoon tea that takes place in Blas Restaurant. 

From Welsh delicacies to sharing boards, you are guaranteed to find the perfect dish. The resort’s acclaimed team of chefs work with local suppliers to source the freshest ingredients. Menus are refreshed at the start of every season, to make sure every dish is full of flavour.

Sink into a comfy sofa, admire the warm, copper interiors or gaze out on the stunning countryside views. Even if your spa treat doesn’t include a meal, it’s worth stopping by to see what’s on the menu - or head to Winners bar to indulge in your favourite post-spa tipple.

If it’s not a spa day unless you’re taking a dip, you’re in luck. Bryn Meadows’ Fusion leisure club has a generously sized 18m swimming pool, so there’s plenty of room for laps. You’ll also find a pine sauna, stone mosaic steam room, aromatherapy suite, Jacuzzi, and hydro spa to relax in after your swim.

It does, and many of the spa packages to Bryn Meadows include a one or two-night stay. Choose from 42 en-suite guest rooms, each with panoramic countryside views - and most with balconies or patios from which to admire them! Sit back, relax and soak in the scenery, but if the weather’s not playing ball, head inside to find modern colour schemes, luxury soft furnishings, Italian furniture and marble baths.

Staying overnight? Check-in is at 3pm and check out is 10.30am on your day of departure. Day and morning spa packages generally start at 9am, while afternoon sessions begin at 1pm, but times can vary. It’s best to check your booking confirmation.

The hotel has one fully accessible bedroom, which has an ensuite wet-room with shower. However, the Fusion Leisure Club has limited access which restricts some disabled visitors from being able to use all of the facilities. For example, door widths to the changing rooms are 86cm, but space inside is limited. There is no hoist or walk-in entry to the pool, and wheelchair access is not recommended. 

Wondering what to pack for your journey to relaxation? Even if you’re just here for a day spa package you’ll need to remember your swimwear - you’ll probably be spending most of your day in it! Swimwear will let you enjoy the swimming pool, steam room, hot tub, jacuzzi and aromatherapy suite to the maximum. Taking two lots of swimwear means you’ll have something dry to wear while you’re having your treatment - or you can just wear your underwear.

Bryn Meadows provides slippers (along with robes and fluffy towels, of course). But you may feel more comfortable in flip flops, so feel free to bring your own. Clothes-wise, it’s lovely to slip on loungewear after a day in the spa. But you’ll also need something to put on if you’re having dinner in Blas restaurant. 

Many of the spa packages at Bryn Meadows include lunch or an afternoon tea. And if you can’t bear to be parted from your warm robe, you’re in luck! You’re welcome to eat in Blas Restaurant in your robe during the day. Just be aware though that the restaurant is open to the public, so you may feel more comfortable getting dressed.

Bringing the clan? You’re in the right place. Bryn Meadows is fabulously family-friendly. Premier and Junior suites sleep a family of four, with lots of space for you all to spread out. Many of South Wales’s best family-friendly attractions are close by. Why not take your little explorers to Caerphilly Castle? It’s the largest in Wales, and just a ten-minute drive.

Although children under 16 can’t use the sauna or steam room, they can splash in the pool between 10am and 12pm and 2pm and 6pm on weekdays, and from 10am and 6pm on the weekend. 

You’ll have to leave your furry friend behind this time. Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel & Spa does not allow pets, with the exception of service animals. Guide dogs are permitted with prior arrangement.
