How to get to the Spa?
By train: ScotRail trains go to Dumfries from Glasgow Central or Carlisle. The Cairndale Hotel is a six-minute walk from Dumfries station.
By bus: You can catch a bus from Carlisle to Dumfries. The number 79 Annan bus takes about an hour and a half.
By car: From the South, take the M6 motorway, followed by the A75 and the A780. From the North, head towards Glasgow and take the M74, followed by the A701. The postcode for your satnav is DG1 2DF.
Parking: There is free parking available on-site and EV charging facilities a short distance from the hotel.

It sure is. While you have to be 16 and over to visit the Cairndale Spa, the hotel has family rooms that feature one double bed, one single bed and a sofa bed.
There’s plenty for them to do nearby. Take your little explorers to Caerlaverock. With its moat, twin-towered gatehouse and imposing battlements, this awe-inspiring castle is one of the finest castles in Scotland. And it's only eight miles from the Cairndale’s front door.

Exceptionally so! Well-trained dogs are given a warm and waggy-tailed welcome here.
