About

Looking for an idyllic waterside break? Head to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. One of the most beautiful sights in the whole of the UK is also home to one of its most spectacular resorts - the five-star Cameron House. Scottish luxury at its finest, a stay here puts you in illustrious company. Winston Churchill, Barack Obama and Cameron Diaz have all checked into this grand 17th baronial mansion.

Set within 400 acres of epic countryside, the resort is vast, boasting a waterfront golf course, a 234-berth marina and even its own private cinema. Snuggled right on the shore, you couldn’t get much closer to the water without getting your feet wet. But, of course, you can do that too. Activities on offer to guests include champagne cruises, jet skiing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

There are plenty of on-land pursuits to blow away the cobwebs, from cycling and fishing to country walks. But if this is all starting to sound a bit too outdoorsy, relax. Alongside nature at its finest you’ll also find out-of-this-world leisure facilities, plus a spa so plush it will take your breath away.

The hotel’s Leisure Club has an 18m pool, beach-style kids’ pool and flume, and thermal suite. But the jewel in the crown for wellness enthusiasts is the Cameron Spa. This blissfully adults-only haven has state-of-the-art hydro and thermal experiences, ESPA rituals from 16 tranquil treatment rooms and one famous roof-top infinity pool overlooking the golf course.

Leaving all that’s on offer at Cameron House is a tough sell. But if you do venture out, a prime location just 30 minutes from Glasgow’s West End puts you in easy reach of the buzz, along with a number of local landmarks. Nearby Balloch Castle Country Park spans 200 acres with walled gardens and nature walks. Climb Conic Hill for breath-taking views of Loch Lomond. Whisky lover? Visit Glengoyne Distillery to create your own malt.

Back at Cameron House, seven incredible restaurants and bars beckon for bountiful Scottish breakfasts, decadent afternoon teas or Italian-inspired seafood served with stunning views And when you’re ready, you can float off to bed in 208 bedrooms, from cosy and contemporary doubles to spectacular Auld House suites crammed with authentic Scottish charm.

It’s nestled in the Cameron Club, which is the luxurious golf clubhouse. Because the Cameron House resort is so vast, the Cameron Club is nearly three miles north of the hotel itself. You can park at the Cameron Club for free, but there’s also a shuttle bus from the hotel if you don’t feel like driving. With its own private cinema and 400 acres to explore, there’s plenty for little ones to do. Popular family-friendly activities include paddle-boarding, horse-riding kayaking, bike hire, junior golf and a complimentary treasure hunt around the grounds. For that they’ll get their own bed, bowl, treats and poo bags - and the chance for walkies on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Picky pooches can even join you for a three-course dinner of their own at The Tavern, La Vista and The Clubhouse. They’ll eat like kings from their own Woof-tastic Menu made up of dog-friendly lattes, snacks, main courses and desserts!

Does Cameron House On Loch Lomond have a golf course?

It has two, so it’s perfect for those who love to combine relaxing spa breaks with a round of golf. The Carrick is Cameron House’s 18-hole championship course, with exceptional views of Loch Lomond from the 10th and 14th holes. The par 71 course is 7,082 yards long and has played host to the PGA Cup and the Europro Tour.
