Prefer to travel by two wheels? The Salterns Way cycle path leads you directly to West Wittering beach from Chichester City Centre. This huge expanse of sand is perfect for watersports.

Harbour Hotel Chichester is a destination for foodies, thanks to The Ship. With a smart bar that greets you as you come in, you can perch for a perfectly poured cocktail before dinner - or nestle into a casual armchair for a nightcap. 

But what to eat? At this stylish seafood bar and grill, you’ll find the catch of the day, served alongside dry-aged steaks. Menus here showcase regional flavours, using local produce and seasonal ingredients. Our tip? You can’t leave without trying the specialities - fish pie, and the twice-baked cheese soufflé.

During the day you’ll find it’s a great spot for long, lingering lunches or indulgent afternoon teas. With a fresh, contemporary decor, nothing beats a glass of fizz while watching the hustle and bustle of the street below.

No, there’s no swimming pool, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be relaxing in warm water. Make sure you bring your cossie because the hydrotherapy pool is blissfully soothing, and there’s a steam room to escape to afterwards, to deepen your sense of relaxation.

Alongside the hydrotherapy pool and steam room, you’ll find a small gym and four treatment rooms for indulgent Elemis, Templespa and HarSPA signature rituals

Yes it does. Should you decide to extend your pamper package to an overnight stay, you’ll find 36 rooms, ranging from Standard Doubles to sumptuous Suites, many with great views over the rooftops towards the South Downs and Priory Park. There’s also a cute, self-contained cottage with a secluded terrace, complete with patio heater.

The Harbour Hotel Chichester knows exactly how to look after their guests. All room categories boast luxurious touches like top-of-the-range toiletries, Nespresso coffee machines, a decanter of gin and Egyptian cotton sheets.

There’s no formal dress code, but you might feel more comfortable in smart casual clothing at The Ship Bar & Restaurant. It’s quite fancy!

Here for a full or half-day spa package? Lucky you! Arrival times are generally 9am, 10am or 2pm, but do check your booking confirmation as times can vary. Twilight packages generally start at 4pm. 

For overnight stays, check-in time is from 3pm and check-out time is by 11am, with late check-outs subject to availability on the day

Looking to escape the kids for a while? You’ll be in your element at HarSPA. Children under 16 can’t use the spa or gym, while the treatments are only for those aged 18 and over. The hotel has one suite that has a sofa bed suitable for up to 12-year-olds, and there’s a children’s menu on offer at The Ship restaurant.

Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the hotel is not fully accessible. There are a few steps to navigate at each entry point of the hotel. There is a lift that can take you to all floors (excluding the spa) and one room that has a step-in shower. 

Sorry, this is one experience they’ll have to miss. Harbour Hotel Chichester doesn’t allow pets of any kind.

While there isn’t a golf course on-site, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pack your clubs. The hotel is close to several great courses, including Golf at Goodwood and Chichester Golf Club, both under five miles away.
