About
Want to feel like you’re on a glamorous holiday in the Mediterranean, right in the middle of the North Yorkshire Moors? Head directly to the multi-award-winning Feversham Arms Hotel. With a show-stopper of an outdoor pool, there’s no better feeling than soaking up the sunshine with a glass of fizz on the poolside patio. But because the water is blissfully heated all-year round, you can still take a dip under the twinkling lights, even on the coldest of winter nights.
Once a coach house and cottages, this boutique bolthole is squirrelled away, just off the market square in Helmsley on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. A well-known foodie destination, its Weathervane restaurant is particularly sought after for its excellent seasonal Yorkshire produce, offered al fresco on the patio when the weather permits.
Some 33 rooms and suites are spread across the main Grade II listed building and former cottages. The glamorous pool is flanked by poolside suites, giving the hotel a unique resort vibe - and a cult-like status. But the real draw here is Verbena Spa, where spa aficionados can indulge in tranquil thermal journeys through the heat and hydro experiences. Pick up a nutritious light-bite from the Spa-tisserie, or head to treatment rooms where fragrant rituals from Templespa add to the exotic holiday feel.
Take a long, lazy walk amid the scenic beauty of the North York Moors National Park, or explore other iconic market towns like Malton and Thirsk. You can even head east to the seafront at Scarborough. And if you’re a history buff, take a trip into York to soak up the culture brought by both the Vikings and the Romans. But there's plenty to do even closer to home. Helmsley has everything you’d want from a town: interesting indie shops, restaurants and cafes clustered around its handsome market square.

The welcome was great, but the facilities in the spa were not great. Things out of order or need a little tlc. The food at lunchtime was excellent. There was something missing… a lounger of some description inside to relax other than the formal sitting area. Beauty treatments were great though… really relaxing.

I could not fault my day at this spa. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities were very good especially enjoyed the outside hot tub and foot spa. The 90 minute treatment, distress massage and facial was amazing and you had a thorough report given by the beautician. Lunch siting outside with a glass of bubbly was excellent . Could have done with some sunshine but that is no fault of the Spa. Loved every minute of it. Will definitely go again. Thank you.

We arrived an hour early and was welcomed by the lovely reception staff. Good start as she said we could use the facilities when we wanted, lovely customer service. Spa facilities, excellent, pool was warm and clean. Hot tub / spa was hot but gorgeous and immaculate. Then our 1.5 hrs treatments, all I can say is WOW. I had Hollie, and thankfully I have had her twice, she is only young but is fabulous, and I will ask for her again, I don’t like quiet periods and told her so we chatted throughout, absolutely amazing therapist, told me everything she was going to do, the benefits of it and lots of advice about aftercare, I felt totally reassured and felt amazing after my treatment. My partner had the same treatment with Phil and just like me he couldn't fault her, she was chatty, professional and made him feel relaxed. Lunch and Prosecco, was fabulous, this was our 3rd time this year and certainly won’t be the last we love it. Thank you X
