My brother and I visited this hotel as I needed a massage for a sports injury and he is going through a separation. The spa was lovely, it was clean with great facilities, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit outdated and the walls are paper thin. The food in the restaurant was nice but I would suggest eating out. The spa and all of the hotel staff made our 1 night stay worth every penny.

I booked the Amber Dreams package: - good price - nice spa - treatment excellent (exfoliating scrub and scalp and shoulder massage) Lovely therapist Only criticism was the sandwiches were disappointing, asked for brown bread - got white, and would not call a couple of leaves of lettuce as a salad just a garnish.

Booked this for a birthday break and overall really enjoyed myself. The spa is fabulous and it's so nice to have a proper spa set up instead of a pool with a sauna tacked on at the side. Hotel room was okay - some of my party had refurbished rooms which were a bit nicer, but all fine for one night. Food was generally good, the £25 towards dinner wasn't explained well at first but staff got it sorted in the end. All the staff were helpful and welcoming. Would go back!
