Looking for a fitness boost? You’ll find it at the Club at Holbrook. This swish leisure club includes a state-of-the-art-gym, a designated weights room and a swimming pool, along with a timetable of group fitness classes to take part in. And, with a sauna and steam room to unwind in afterwards, everything you need for a toned, healthier you is all under one roof.

Light and airy thanks to an expansive glass roof, exercise feels like a breeze at the Club. Try some cardio or have a go at the resistance machines safe in the knowledge that well-trained staff are on hand to offer support. 

Prefer to exercise in the great outdoors? Holbrook Manor is situated in 20 acres of gardens and ancient woodland. Go for a stroll and see if you can find the 400-year old Cedar of Lebanon tree, or take one of the winding pathways through the woods to look at the wildlife - roe deer, foxes and badgers have all been spotted here.

If all that pampering has worked up an appetite you’re in for a treat. The Garden Cafe is where you’ll head for a coffee, light bite or a sumptuous afternoon tea when you’re here for a spa day, and it’s every bit as relaxing as the Hayloft Spa itself.

The Garden Cafe serves continental breakfast each morning, plus soft, alcoholic and hot drinks throughout the day. With muted tones and plush seating, it strikes the perfect balance of classy and comfortable. There’s a wood burner for colder days, while lovely views of the grounds come as standard.

Sink into a squashy chair and enjoy hot drinks and a pastry for breakfast. Or come after your spa package for a glass of bubbles and an elegant afternoon tea served on a dainty cake stand. 

There is! Water babies will be in heaven thanks to a 15m swimming pool, complete with spa bath. Have a dip, then retreat to the comfort of the sauna and steam room.

Holbrook Manor has 15 spacious bedrooms in the original house, along with five garden rooms with private terraces. Original rooms are full of period character - some suites have four-poster beds. Garden rooms are in a separate annex. Dog-friendly, these feature lovely views over the grounds.

Check-in is from 3pm on your day of arrival and you’ll need to check-out at 11am on your day of departure. But early check-ins and late check-outs are also available on request.

While the Hayloft Spa is an adults-only pampering paradise, children are welcome in the hotel. Here  you’ll find one family room with plenty of space, along with acres of grounds for them to run around in. 

Looking for child-friendly activities to do while you’re here? Holbrook Manor puts you within striking distance of Longleat safari park - it’s approximately 30 minutes away by car. Home to over 120 species, Longleat was the first Safari Park to open outside of Africa, way back in 1966.

The spa is wheelchair accessible, barring the treatment rooms. At the hotel, five of the bedrooms are accessible, but there is no lift access to any of the bedrooms in the original Manor House on first, second or third floors.

While dogs aren’t allowed in the main hotel, spa or leisure club, Holbrook does allow small dogs (under 10kg) to stay overnight in garden rooms, at a supplement of £20 per day. 

Love to pamper and putt? Sadly there’s no golf club at Holbrook Manor itself, but hop in the car because Wincanton Golf Club is just a 6-minute drive away. Located in the centre of Wincanton’s famous racecourse, the 9-hole course offers a challenging game for golfers of all abilities.
