Served in a fun bird-cage style cake stand every day from 12pm to 5pm, the Oban Bay Hotel afternoon tea includes hand cut-finger sandwiches with classic fillings, sweet treats and tea and coffee.

While you have to be aged 16 or over to use the tranquil, adults-only spa, the Oban Bay Hotel is family-friendly. Children up to the age of 3 stay free of charge, while children aged 3 to 12 are welcome on a reduced rate.

For an extra £20 per night, well-behaved furry friends get fresh drinking water and are welcome in most guest bedrooms, reception, the lounge and the grounds of the hotel. The hotel can accommodate two dogs per room, with beds, bowls and biscuits provided on request. Scotland and golf go together like neeps and tatties. So as you might expect, Oban is a paradise for lovers of the sport of kings. While there’s no golf course on-site, Glencruitten Golf Club is just over a mile away. This hilly 18-hole course is bursting with wildlife, with buzzards, pheasants, heron and deer regular visitors.
