The Spa & Wellness at Oban Bay Hotel
If your favourite kind of spa comes with super-luxe facilities, fresh sea air and beautiful views, get that robe and slippers on and step right this way. Small but beautifully formed, the Oban Bay Hotel spa is a little piece of pampering heaven. But time spent in this sequestered space offers something more than just sheer indulgence - it’s a wellbeing experience that lingers long after the massage oil’s been washed away.
Cocooned in the comfort of your soft robe, the spa’s bijou thermal area is yours to explore. Nestled on the picturesque Sea Deck with panoramic vistas of the tranquil Oban Bay and the idyllic island of Kerrera, you can soak in the sunken Canadian-style outdoor hot tub while gazing across the water, with a glass of something just as bubbly in-hand.
Just a short slipper-shuffle takes you to the Swedish oak-barrelled sauna, a space that not only infuses you with a rustic charm but also works wonders for flushing toxins, relieving stress, and reviving your spirit. Then it’s time to hit the Roman Acrylic Steam Room. Harnessing the magic of moist heat, it serves as a potent tool for improving circulation and lowering blood pressure.
Conclude your 90-minute session in the Zen Relaxation Room. Whether you're thumbing through a magazine, enjoying companionable silence, or succumbing to a post-sauna snooze, this room ensures you’ll do it all while floating on a cloud of serenity.
But your pampering treat doesn’t end there. After you’ve fully immersed yourself in this sanctuary, you can lie back on a warm bed in a treatment room while a trained therapist uses ishga seaweed-based products from the Hebrides to gently pummel, beautify or soothe you.
Perfectly personalised, you’ll get a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you feeling nourished and glowing. But will you go for a salt and oil body scrub, age-defying facial or a foot-recovery treatment? Decisions, decisions.

By train: ScotRail runs trains six times a day from Glasgow Queen Street Station to Oban (two on Sunday). Coming from London?
