For a longer ramble, head to Langdon Hills Country Park. Just 15 minutes away, it has 400 acres of ancient woodland and meadows to explore. 

If golf’s more your bag, Orsett Golf Club is nearby. This 18-hole, par 72 course hosts the regional qualifying round for the Open Championship, and provides a fabulous day of golf for enthusiasts of all skill and experience levels.

Food is a quintessential part of any spa experience, whether you’re in the mood for healthy and wholesome or something a bit more indulgent. And, with two decadent dining spaces you won’t go hungry (or thirsty) here.

Whether you stop for a pre-massage coffee or a post-pampering cocktail, you can’t leave without paying a visit to Café Sartoria. Relaxed and inviting, it’s the perfect spot for breakfast, coffee and cake with friends, or a healthy lunchtime bite.

Garden Brasserie

Here on a spa package that includes afternoon tea? You’ll eat it here in some very elegant surroundings. Feast on dainty sandwiches, warm scones and fresh patisserie amidst stylish, floral-inspired décor and gorgeous views of the hotel grounds.

There sure is! Orsett Hall’s 9m swimming pool may be small, but it’s perfectly formed and atmospherically lit. Even better, the swimming pool at Orsett Hall is blissfully adults-only so there won’t be any splashing to spoil the tranquil vibe. 

Yes there is. Turn your spa day into a spa day by checking-in to one of 56 elegant rooms and suites, many with views over the gardens and countryside. Choose from Superior, Executive or Suites or opt for a Lodge with its own kitchenette. All are individually designed and have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV in your room, as well as ESPA toiletries.

For overnight stays, check-in is from 3pm, and you need to check out before 11am. For spa packages, check-in times vary so do check your booking confirmation.

Yes it is. The spa has a disabled changing room and are happy to help with access to the pool and thermal suite.

You’ll find Orsett Hall in the Essex countryside, in the picturesque village of Orsett. It’s within easy access of the M25 and only 40 minutes from Central London. With Lakeside Shopping Centre just 15 minutes away, you won’t be stuck for things to do. Or head to nearby Langdon Hills Country Park for long rambles in the fresh air.

With its twinkling chandeliers and grand architecture, Orsett Hall may look every inch the centuries’-old stately home. And indeed, Orsett Hall does date back to the 17th Century. But sadly, the original building (including all of its antiques, photos, documents and oil paintings) were destroyed in a fire in 2007. The hotel as it stands today is a faithful reconstruction, in the same style and on the original footprint.

The hotel itself is family-friendly, but the spa is blissfully adults only. You have to be over 18 to use any of its facilities.
