Fitness fan? Step right this way. Whatever type of workout you fancy, from something gentle to something a bit more invigorating, you can find it right here. The fully-equipped gym offers a great range of machines and exercise stations, so you can do as much or as little as you want.

There are treadmills, bikes and cross trainers, along with free weights and weights machines, so you never have to miss a leg day. When you feel you've earned a rest, visit the steam room or sauna to recover in style.

Prefer to exercise in the fresh air? Bring your hiking boots and go for a walk. Kent is a glorious county for long hikes in the great outdoors, but just a 20-minute drive takes you to Trosley Country Park with three way-marked trails providing spectacular views over the Downs. 

If all that pampering has worked up an appetite, you’ll be pleased to know that dining at Rowhill Grange is a sumptuous affair.

There are two options on offer, but how do you choose between them? RG’s Restaurant is the hotel’s two- AA Rosette-award winning restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you were heading to RG’s for dinner, just remember there’s a smartly elegant dress code so pack something fancy. Elements bar and lounge is more relaxed, and is open for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.

RG’s Restaurant

RG’s Restaurant offers sumptuous dining amid elegant surroundings. During the day you can expect a light, airy space and by night you will be cocooned in an intimate atmosphere surrounded by candlelight and the scent of delicious food cooking in the air.

The dishes at this restaurant are made with locally sourced ingredients and the menus alternate with the seasons. Sublime steaks are cooked to perfection while succulent slow-cooked lamb is a real treat. There is also a specific vegan menu where you will find roasted cauliflower and a vegan cheesecake that wins rave reviews.

If your spa day falls on a Sunday then head to this restaurant at 12pm sharp and tuck into their traditional Sunday lunch with gorgeous traditional English desserts including fig and ginger pudding and a Granny Smith apple compote.

Elements Bar and Lounge

Chilled-out Elements has a chic, country-club vibe, made even better because you’re welcome to eat in robe here up until 6.30pm. Feel energised by their superfood salads or if the weather is a bit colder (or you just want to treat yourself) sit by the warming fire and satisfy your hunger with a ‘naughty’ burger.   

Yes, it has two, uniquely spread out over two levels. There’s the 11m swimming pool which is perfect for laps, but the Roman-inspired hydrotherapy pool steals the show. With low lighting and its own waterfall, you will feel completely submerged into a sense of utter tranquillity.

Of course! Spread out over the main house and the thatched Clockhouse, 38 rooms and suites are each named after different flowers. The accommodation here is a combination of bespoke interior design, calming ceiling lighting, oversized beds and a view of the surrounding gardens. For overnight stays, check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 11am. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged, for an extra charge of £50 for each. For spa packages, arrival and departure times vary, so please check your booking confirmation. 

If you’re here on an overnight stay, you can use the spa facilities from 3pm. If you wish to use the spa before 3pm, you’ll need to use the early check in option, charged at £50 per room and this is something you’d need to book in advance of your stay. Early check in is available from 12pm and will allow you access to all spa facilities. 

Here on a spa package? While bathrobes and slippers are provided, you might wish to bring two sets of swimwear so that you have a dry one to wear for your treatment or to wear under your robe at lunch at Elements. If your package includes dinner at RG’s Restaurant, pack something nice because the dress code is ‘elegantly smart’.

Both towelling robes and slippers will be provided for you in your bedroom if you have booked a spa break.

The Utopia Spa is blissfully adults only, and all guests need to be a minimum of 18 years of age to use either the spa or pool. 

Hold the doggy manicure! Pets aren’t allowed in the spa, and your four-legged companions can’t stay with you in any of Rowhill Grange’s fabulous hotel rooms. Small dogs who weigh under 10kg can sit with you on the outdoor terrace whilst you enjoy lunch.

No, but there is one nearby. Just a six-minute drive away, Birchwood Park offers a  scenic 18-hole main course plus a fun nine-hole short course that’s perfect for beginners. You could even try their new TrackMan floodlit driving range, open into the evenings.
