About
We all like to get away from the hustle and bustle sometimes, and you can do just that at the utterly glorious Rudding Park. Set amid 300 acres of picturesque grounds in the heart of North Yorkshire, it has everything you need for a day of decadence or a long weekend of loveliness.
The delightful town of Harrogate is nearby, and it’s home to superb shopping, plenty of historic buildings and a number of live entertainment venues. Soak up the heritage of Knaresborough Castle and Harewood House, spend some time at Harrogate’s Royal Pump Room and if you have time head west to take in the views at the rightly celebrated Nidderdale AONB.
With 90 exquisite bedrooms, the stunning Rudding Park is perfect for an overnight odyssey. There are two golf courses, but the big draw here has to be the jaw-dropping spa complex. It has three three fabulous floors dedicated to wellness, including a spectacular roof top spa and garden. And, as soon as you feel peckish, two stylish restaurants are waiting to bring you the fulfilment you crave.

The Spa & Wellness at Rudding Park Hotel & Spa
No matter how hectic life gets, there should always be time to stop and smell the scented candles. But me-time is even more unforgettable at Rudding Park, where the hotel’s huge spa complex is housed in its own contemporary building nestled within immaculate courtyard gardens.
Step through the glass doors. Put your robe on and your worries down. Then revel in three heavenly floors dedicated to sheer indulgence, including a roof-top temple of tranquility that will truly take your breath away.
Spa welcome
Check-in at the light, bright reception, then it’s time to chill-out. The spa’s ground floor is home to luxurious changing rooms, the mud rasul chamber, a juniper log sauna and an indoor pool. At 17m long, it’s perfect for lounging or laps in natural spring water filtered through ultraviolet light. Feeling peckish? Head to Horto Cafe on the ground floor to nourish your body with some healthy but delicious fare.
Escape zone and treatment rooms
Time for your treatment? Pad down the glass staircase to the lower ground, then recline, unwind and drift into zen. This seriously serene space offers rituals designed to enhance wellness of mind, body and soul. While you’re waiting for your therapist, immerse yourself in the four sense-stimulating ‘zones’, with sound healing, deep relaxation and even mindful colouring to enjoy.
Roof Top Spa and Garden
Spa heaven? You’ll find it here at the Roof Top Spa and Garden. Take your body on a thermal journey from top to toe, whether that’s by lying on heated beds for a foot spa, sampling the sumptuous steam rooms or trying out the water jets in the hydrotherapy infinity pool.
Loungers and private cabanas are tastefully strewn amongst the garden while attendants are always on-hand to bring you a glass of something bubbly to sip in the sunshine. Weather looking a bit British? They’ve thought of that too. There’s a Sunlight Therapy room to boost your vitamin D, no harmful rays allowed.
Don’t miss the Aufguss sauna rituals, held here daily. Soak up the heat while your Aufguss master uses essential oils and a special towel-waving technique to circulate the wonderful aromas. It looks theatrical, but it will leave you totally re-energised.
The Gym & Fitness at Rudding Park Hotel & Spa
The fully-equipped gym is available for hotel residents and is ideal for all abilities, it offers a great selection of cardio and resistance training. If you prefer some one-to-one attention, be sure to speak to the personal trainers about your targets.
The spectacular grounds around the hotel are ideal for long walks and for runs to remember. And if you’re in the mood for golf, there’s an excellent 18-hole course for you to test your skills on.
Restaurants & Food at Rudding Park Hotel & Spa
Want to refuel before you float off to bed? Rudding Park has an excellent selection of restaurants, widely regarded as among the finest in the region. Get dressed up for some fancy fine dining, or keep things cool and casual with the best of modern British cuisine. These restaurants have everything you need to spoil yourself.
The Clocktower Brasserie
Informal by day, glamourous by night, serious foodies flock to the Clocktower Brasserie. Tuck into timeless British classics, sharing platters and tapas in the light-filled conservatory while admiring the 400-year-old olive tree, before heading to the terrace for alfresco cocktails and stunning views.
Horto
Relax after your treatments in the funky Horto restaurant. With a menu “dictated by nature” and some polished cooking on display, this fabulous 3 AA Rosette-winning eatery has everything from a six-course tasting experience to luxurious chocolate desserts. Much of Horto's vegetables and salads come from its own kitchen garden - a nice touch that keeps things seasonable and sustainable.
Horto
With well-being of mind, body and soul at its forefront, the spa café serves tasty food with a high nutritional value. Light and healthy, top chefs use innovative techniques, like using a centrifuge to create concentrated juices. The atmosphere here is so relaxed, you can keep feeling pampered in your fluffy robe.
Afternoon tea
Nothing says elegance quite like afternoon tea. Served daily in the Clocktower Brasserie’s stunning conservatory, take in the garden views whilst choosing from a delicious selection of sandwiches and freshly baked desserts.
