There is, so don’t forget to pack your cossie. Light and airy by day and beautifully lit by night, the tranquil 18m indoor pool is set in a magnificent tithe barn building which dates back to the 1550s. 

Spectacularly restored, today it features exposed brickwork, historic beams, and loungers made for unwinding, poolside. And the best thing? Its warm and soothing waters are set to the perfect temperature for your complete enjoyment.

Of course! Seckford Hall has 34 bedrooms which make extending your spa day into a spa stay a real temptation. From standard to suites, they all combine classic comforts with modern touches. Up the romance with a feature room with its own four-poster bed or go for the junior suite in the lodge which has its own private garden.

All rooms have luxurious bedding, bathrobes, large TVs and tea and coffee. And many have excellent views over the grounds.

You’ll find Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa in Suffolk, just off the A12 before you get into Woodbridge. Right on the edge of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Woodbridge lies along the River Deben and is about eight miles from the gorgeous south Suffolk coast. The hotel is also close to Rendlesham Forest, famous for being the site of a supposed UFO sighting in 1980 when unexplained lights were seen in the sky. Spooky! 

While treatments at the spa are for those aged 16 or over, children can splash in the pool from 9am to 10.30am and from 3.30pm to 6pm. Over at the hotel, children are really made a fuss of, with meals and afternoon tea options that cater for little appetites. Seckford Hall’s rooms and suites can also be set up with sofa beds to accommodate families of all shapes and sizes. 

With the coast and countryside right on Seckford Hall’s doorstep, there’s plenty for little ones to do nearby. But a trip to Sutton Hoo is really a must for your mini explorers. This 255-acre Anglo-Saxon site is part of the National Trust and offers walks in the surrounding woodland. plus your chance to see the famous burial grounds from a 17-metre high viewing tower. 

Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa has limited ground-floor rooms available, but because of the age of the building and its period features, both the spa and its grounds may not be suitable for wheelchair or electric wheelchair users.
