About
Craving an adults-only getaway? Leave your cares (and the kids) behind on a luxurious spa break to Sinah Warren. This blissfully grown-up Warner retreat balances delicately on the western tip of Hampshire’s Hayling Island, an exclusive inlet known for its unspoilt coastline and natural good looks. It’s the picture-perfect setting your body, mind and soul have been craving.
Unfurrow your brow and put a spring in your step, because this elegant hotel has a tradition of wellness dating back to the 15th century. Once a health retreat for monks, these days there’s 55 acres of landscaped gardens to relax and restore you. They extend right the way down to the water's edge so that invigorating strolls, sparkling sea views and lashings of fresh air come as standard.
As you’d expect from a Warner property, there are some inspiring facilities amid all the peace and tranquility. Hazy summer’s days were made for laps or lounging, preferably with drink in hand, at the heated outdoor pool, while a programme of daytime activities, from archery and tennis to giant chess or bowls, makes a great way to reconnect with friends and family.
Outdoorsy types will love walking or cycling around Hayling Island, while fit fanatics won’t want to miss the excellent watersports - windsurfing was invented here. Sinah Warren is just moments from Hayling Island’s West Beach, so there’s plenty of traditional bucket and spade moments to be had on hotel’s doorstep
Feel the breeze on your face on the three-minute ferry ride to Portsmouth, then oak up the maritime heritage, take a trip up the Spinnaker Tower or just shop til you drop at Gunwharf Quays. And, with the pretty towns of Chichester and Arundel also within easy reach by car, intriguing day trip options abound.
But if all that all sounds just a bit too energetic, you're free to while away your days chilling out in Sinah Warren’s luxurious spa and wellness centre. Flit between the indoor pool, sauna and steam room, or head to six zen-like treatment rooms where therapists with knot untying know-how work their magic using luxurious Temple Spa products.
There’s never a dull moment by day, but when evening falls Sinah Warren comes into its own. Glam up and head down to the Driftwood Restaurant for dinner, then make your way to the fabulous Late Lounge for live music and entertainment. Then, when it’s time to drift off to bed, sumptuous beds housed in 278 luxurious rooms or well-appointed garden chalets await.

The Spa & Wellness at Sinah Warren
Ready for some me-time? Sinah Warren’s spa and wellness club is the perfect place to spoil yourself.
Take a relaxing dip in the indoor pool, before your thermal journey begins. First stop, the bubbly spa pool. Let the massage jets soothe your aching muscles as you sink back into the water, heated to a wonderfully warm 36°C.
Next it’s time to sweat out the toxins in the 40°C traditional Scandinavian sauna, before relaxing in absolute humidity in the 45°C steam-room. Here the air is infused with herbal essences promoting perfect relaxation and a deep cleansing of the skin.
Feel your shoulders drop in the cocooning comfort of six zen-like treatment rooms, each offering a menu of skin-care and feel-good rituals to savour. Sink back into the soft bed and drift off with a Temple Spa treatment, created to nurture body, mind and soul. Breathe deeply as therapists apply the Mediterranean ingredients with notes of amber, Seville orange and fresh bergamot.
Then, after a spot of lounging in the relaxation room, head for a mani, pedi or beauty treat. Jessica and Mii Cosmetics provide the perfect finishing touch, ensuring that you’ll leave Sinah Warren’s spa glowing from top to toe.
The Gym & Fitness at Sinah Warren
Gym or swim? Treadmill, tennis or fitness class? Indoors, or in the fresh air? These are the workout decisions you’ll have to make at Sinah Warren. The hotel is filled with so many opportunities to get your pulse racing, you may have to bring your entire collection of activewear to enjoy them all.
The leisure centre’s well-equipped gym has cardio machines and free weights, plus resistance machines so you never have to miss out on leg day. When you’ve finished getting your pump on, head to the sauna and steam room to boost your recovery.
Take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool, or book into aqua aerobics (or even aqua tai chi!). And if group fitness is your bag, head to the studio for classes like ballet fitness, zumba or circuits. They can all be booked seven days in advance, either in person or over the phone.
Always fancied trying Nordic walking? Sinah Warren gives you the chance to pick up the poles and learn all about the practice. One of the fastest growing fitness activities in the world, it’s available at the hotel as a daytime activity, and has far more health benefits than ordinary walking. You might love it so much it becomes your new hobby.
Sporty types can go for game, set and match at the tennis courts or play a set or two at the table tennis tables. And with rifle shooting, archery and outdoor bowls (plus dancing the night away in the Late Lounge every night), there are so many ways to burn off the calories at Sinah Warren.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sinah Warren do afternoon tea?
Everything stops for afternoon tea in Sinah Warren’s cosy coffee shop. Fabulously quirky, it has a traditional seaside theme inspired by Sinah Warren’s enviable coastal position. Alongside the scones you’ll find crab and salmon sandwiches, doughnuts and ice cream wafers with crumbly flakes. Truly scrumptious!
With gluten-free options available too, you’ll choose from a menu of speciality coffees and loose-leaf teas with some unusual flavours - Spiced Blueberry Pie, anyone? Or skip the brew and opt for a glass of something bubbly if you’re celebrating (or even if you’re not!).
Is there a swimming pool at Sinah Warren?
There’s two! Alongside the indoor pool in the leisure centre, Sinah Warren is the proud owner of the only outdoor pool in the Warner family. Some 25 metres in length and fabulously warm, the outdoor pool is open from June to early September when it takes full advantage of the Solent’s mild climate and high sunshine count. There’s even a bar there so you can have drinks after your swim - no wonder it’s popular!
Is there accommodation at Sinah Warren?
There is. A total of 278 rooms are made up of 15 Royale rooms, 119 Signature rooms, 112 Standard rooms and 32 Garden Chalets.
All room categories have modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, comfy chairs and tea and coffee making facilities. Signature and the more spacious Royale rooms offer even more luxurious touches such as freshly baked cookies on arrival day, fresh milk, snacks, fluffy robes and Temple Spa toiletries.
Royale, Signature and Standard rooms are split over two blocks called Langstone A and B. So which to pick? The 76 Standard and Signature rooms in Langstone A rooms are just a few steps from the outdoor pool so you won’t have to go far for your morning dip. With views of either the lavender gardens or harbour, you’ll also be close to the restaurant, show theatre and lounges. Six of the rooms are accessible.
Prefer the quiet life? Choose Langstone B. Split over three levels, you’ll find 170 rooms including 15 Royales with their own parking. Rooms here face the gardens or the sea, with many having their own balconies or patios to let you soak up the sun. Eight accessible rooms are located here, two of which have roll-in showers.
All 32 garden chalets are located a short distance from the main reception. They each have a queen size bed and shower, and ten come with dedicated parking bays.
What are check-in and check-out times at Sinah Warren?
You can get there from 11am to enjoy the gardens and have lunch, but your room won’t be available until 3pm. Similarly, while check-out is by 10am, you don’t need to leave until midday.
Is Sinah Warren accessible?
It is. Alongside ramped access into all areas, there are accessible rooms which include bathrooms with shower seats and roll-in showers.
Does Sinah Warren take cash?
Bring your debit or credit card because all Warner hotels are cashless. When you check in, a room account will be set up for you and any extras charged to it, payable by card.
How did Sinah Warren get its name?
Wondering about the strange-sounding name? ‘Sinah’ is thought to stem from the medicinal herb used by the monks who lived here in the 15th century. But the other theory is that Sinah was once a breed of rabbit native to Hayling Island – hence the ‘warren’.
Where is Sinah Warren?
You’ll find Sinah Warren on Hayling Island, a wildlife haven known with a traditional seaside feel. It has a picturesque setting that looks out over Langstone Harbour, a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hampshire. Just behind that are beaches overlooking the Solent, with the Isle of Wight beyond.
Hayling Island has five miles of excellent beaches, with some facilities accessible to wheelchairs. It’s also known for its Funland amusement park and holiday centres, which made the island a popular seaside resort from the 1930s onwards.
Is the Sinah Warren family-friendly?
Sorry, Sinah Warren is a Warner property and, as such, it’s adults-only.
Is Sinah Warren pet-friendly?
Sorry, no pets allowed. The only exception is for registered assistance dogs.
Is there a golf club at Sinah Warren?
No, there’s no golf club at Sinah Warren, but there are plenty of options close by. In fact, just a three-minute drive takes you to Hayling Golf Club, the only true links course between Rye and Cornwall. With Championship Course status, it’s recognised as a Top 50 golf course in England.
Visitors are welcome, but this isn’t a beginners’ course. As such, you’ll need an active handicap if you want to tee off here. It’s well worth it though, for panoramic views of the coastline and Sinah Lake.
