Gym or swim? Treadmill, tennis or fitness class? Indoors, or in the fresh air? These are the workout decisions you’ll have to make at Sinah Warren. The hotel is filled with so many opportunities to get your pulse racing, you may have to bring your entire collection of activewear to enjoy them all.

The leisure centre’s well-equipped gym has cardio machines and free weights, plus resistance machines so you never have to miss out on leg day. When you’ve finished getting your pump on, head to the sauna and steam room to boost your recovery.

Take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool, or book into aqua aerobics (or even aqua tai chi!). And if group fitness is your bag, head to the studio for classes like ballet fitness, zumba or circuits. They can all be booked seven days in advance, either in person or over the phone.

Always fancied trying Nordic walking? Sinah Warren gives you the chance to pick up the poles and learn all about the practice. One of the fastest growing fitness activities in the world, it’s available at the hotel as a daytime activity, and has far more health benefits than ordinary walking. You might love it so much it becomes your new hobby.

Sporty types can go for game, set and match at the tennis courts or play a set or two at the table tennis tables. And with rifle shooting, archery and outdoor bowls (plus dancing the night away in the Late Lounge every night), there are so many ways to burn off the calories at Sinah Warren.

The Driftwood Restaurant

The hotel’s biggest restaurant is super-spacious, filled with natural colours, comfy wooden furniture and stylish floor-to-ceiling windows to bring the outside in. With a deli bar and fresh fish counter, there’s a focus on modern flavours and British classics, along with international theme-nights such as Indian, Asian, Tex-Mex or Italian. While some dishes are cooked to order, it’s buffet-style service so help yourself to as much as you'd like.

Get away from the crowds and enjoy light bites throughout the day, in this tucked-away coffee lounge with great views over the front gardens. 

Late Lounge

Kick back, relax and let your hair down after dinner. This large venue has room for every guest, plus there’s a large dance floor. Moody lights add to the excitement, and there’s usually some top-names on the bill, from TV comedians and tribute acts, to household-name singers and entertainers.

There’s two! Alongside the indoor pool in the leisure centre, Sinah Warren is the proud owner of the only outdoor pool in the Warner family. Some 25 metres in length and fabulously warm, the outdoor pool is open from June to early September when it takes full advantage of the Solent’s mild climate and high sunshine count. There’s even a bar there so you can have drinks after your swim - no wonder it’s popular!

There is. A total of 278 rooms are made up of 15 Royale rooms, 119 Signature rooms, 112 Standard rooms and 32 Garden Chalets. 

All room categories have modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, comfy chairs and tea and coffee making facilities. Signature and the more spacious Royale rooms offer even more luxurious touches such as freshly baked cookies on arrival day, fresh milk, snacks, fluffy robes and Temple Spa toiletries. 

Royale, Signature and Standard rooms are split over two blocks called Langstone A and B. So which to pick? The 76 Standard and Signature rooms in Langstone A rooms are just a few steps from the outdoor pool so you won’t have to go far for your morning dip. With views of either the lavender gardens or harbour, you’ll also be close to the restaurant, show theatre and lounges. Six of the rooms are accessible.

Prefer the quiet life? Choose Langstone B. Split over three levels, you’ll find 170 rooms including 15 Royales with their own parking. Rooms here face the gardens or the sea, with many having their own balconies or patios to let you soak up the sun. Eight accessible rooms are located here, two of which have roll-in showers.

All 32 garden chalets are located a short distance from the main reception. They each have a queen size bed and shower, and ten come with dedicated parking bays. 

You can get there from 11am to enjoy the gardens and have lunch, but your room won’t be available until 3pm. Similarly, while check-out is by 10am, you don’t need to leave until midday.

It is. Alongside ramped access into all areas, there are accessible rooms which include bathrooms with shower seats and roll-in showers. 

Bring your debit or credit card because all Warner hotels are cashless. When you check in, a room account will be set up for you and any extras charged to it, payable by card.

Wondering about the strange-sounding name? ‘Sinah’ is thought to stem from the medicinal herb used by the monks who lived here in the 15th century. But the other theory is that Sinah was once a breed of rabbit native to Hayling Island – hence the ‘warren’. 

You’ll find Sinah Warren on Hayling Island, a wildlife haven known with a traditional seaside feel. It has a picturesque setting that looks out over Langstone Harbour, a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hampshire. Just behind that are beaches overlooking the Solent, with the Isle of Wight beyond.

Hayling Island has five miles of excellent beaches, with some facilities accessible to wheelchairs. It’s also known for its Funland amusement park and holiday centres, which made the island a popular seaside resort from the 1930s onwards.

Sorry, Sinah Warren is a Warner property and, as such, it’s adults-only.

No, there’s no golf club at Sinah Warren, but there are plenty of options close by. In fact, just a three-minute drive takes you to Hayling Golf Club, the only true links course between Rye and Cornwall. With Championship Course status, it’s recognised as a Top 50 golf course in England. 

Visitors are welcome, but this isn’t a beginners’ course. As such, you’ll need an active handicap if you want to tee off here. It’s well worth it though, for panoramic views of the coastline and Sinah Lake.
