Feel zen with Hatha yoga, tighten up with PIlates or try some high-energy Kettle Step. From Boxercise to Body Blast, they all take place in the hotel’s fitness studio and are led by trained instructors. 

Not a gym bunny? Don’t sweat it. Being right on the Solent there are so many ways to get your exercise in the salty sea air. An eight-minute walk takes you to Southampton Water Activities Centre where you can work your core windsurfing or stand-up paddle boarding - and all while discovering a brand new hobby. 

Ask at reception for a map (and even a picnic!) and take a fascinating walk that showcases the best of Southampton’s maritime history. Or head out into the New Forest for some of the most beautiful and picturesque scenery in England.

The HarBAR on 6th

Is there anything nicer than getting glammed up and heading to a fancy rooftop cocktail bar after a day spent pampering? We don’t think so. There’s no need to book, so just sit back and soak up the buzzing atmosphere along with some fabulous marina views, preferably with an expertly mixed cocktail in hand. Listen to a DJ spin some tunes and pick something avant-garde from the eclectic bar menu if you wish to linger for longer. And, with its luxe, laidback and urban vibes, chances are you will.

The Jetty

It would be strange to be so close to the sea without making the most of the natural bounty all around you. And the Jetty doesn’t disappoint, featuring the freshest locally-caught seafood and seasonal ingredients on its stunning menu designed by award-winning chef patron Alex Aitken. With stunning vistas by day and magically lit by night, it’s elegant yet informal, and still manages to make you feel super special. 

HarSPA Cafe

This juice bar and cafe is ideal for healthy smoothies and snacks, eaten in your robe. Day spa guests can tuck into beautiful light lunches, washed down with some less healthy glasses of fizz.

It does. Long and narrow like a lap pool, you can glide through 17m of heated water, while gazing out at the super yachts moored in the marina beyond. Lay back on a lounger, try an aqua aerobics class or hit the hydrotherapy pool where water jets act like your personal masseuse.

There’s a heated swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sauna, mud rasul, relaxation areas, a fully equipped gym, several treatment rooms and a well-being juice bar and café.

It does. If you really want to push the boat out, a stay on this super yacht on dry land is simply sumptuous. With 119 rooms and suites, you’ll enjoy complimentary gin and sherry from in-room decanters, soft sheets, fluffy robes and even some binoculars to get a glimpse of the real thing coming in and out of the harbour.

You can check-in anytime after 3pm, while check-out time is 11am.

Not as such, but at the destination restaurant, the Jetty, guests do generally wear smart-casual clothing. The HarBAR on 6th is more relaxed, but they still say no to flip flops or vests.

It sure is and, with children’s swimming hours at the pool along with a cinema room with free popcorn, there’s plenty on offer to keep them occupied. Kids can splash to their hearts’ content from 8.30am to 10.30am and 5pm to 6pm daily, when accompanied by an adult. 

While there’s no family rooms, there are interconnecting rooms and suites that can be adapted for family use. With no age restrictions in the Jetty or HarBAR on 6th and tasty children’s menus packed with family favourites, they can join you for dinner, too.

Yes it is. There are ground level entrances and lifts, along with accessible rooms that boast wetroom style bathrooms and grab rails.

Can’t decide between a city or coastal break? A stay here gives you the best of both worlds. When you tire of gazing out on the water, retail therapy awaits among the big brands of the West Quay. For culture lovers (or fans of the film Titanic) a trip to the Seacity Museum is a must.

No, there’s no golf course at the hotel. And because it’s right on the harbour’s edge, most outdoor adventures nearby take place on the water. In fact, Southampton Water Activities Centre is an eight-minute walk away, where you can try your hand at sailing, windsurfing, powerboating or paddle-boarding.

But if you can’t live without your clubs, Southampton Municipal Golf Course is 15-minute drive away, offering 27 challenging holes set within a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty.
