The Eastbury Hotel and Spa

Time spent at The Eastbury Hotel & Spa can be every bit as energetic as you are! Its mini gym has an upright cycle, free weights and skipping ropes, along with a bench press and yoga mats. 

Walking is such a popular pastime here that the hotel has produced its own guide. It's packed with beautiful countryside and coastal trails that you can stroll, jog or hike, right from The Eastbury’s front door. Just pick up a copy from reception.

Love to tee off in the sunshine? The Eastbury has partnered with nearby Sherborne Golf Club to offer unique stay and play options. There’s even a buddy scheme so you can be shown around the course and enjoy the company of a member if you’re travelling solo.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day at The Eastbury Hotel (well, along with the indulgent afternoon teas!). Because the hotel operates as a B&B, they put their heart and soul into the first meal of the day. The breakfasts here are the stuff of legends!

Served in the Seasons restaurant and prepared by the finest chefs, their goal is to serve you a fresh, tasty and locally sourced breakfast that will set you up for the day. Options include the full English and continental buffet. Our tip? Try the kippers for a traditional treat.

Here on a special occasion? You can choose to have your breakfast (or an evening tipple) in the Pod. Furnished with cushions, blankets and fresh flowers, it looks out across the lawn from under the trees. It seats up to four people and there’s a small extra charge. Just remember it needs to be booked in advance.

Pampering in the PM? Everything stops for afternoon tea at The Eastbury. Its indulgent treat is impeccably served and features diddy sandwiches, warm scones, lashings of cream and sensational mini cakes.

Water baby? While there’s no swimming pool at The Eastbury Hotel & Spa, you will still need to bring your cossie. The beautifully boutique spa features a romantic hydrotherapy tub for two, a sauna, and a Jacuzzi shower (an invigorating mixture of bubbles of steam). Outdoors in the spa garden you’ll find a couple’s hot tub. And the even better news? You’ll get the luxe facilities all to yourself!

You’ll find The Eastbury Hotel in the centre of Sherborne, a pretty market town in Dorset, close to the Somerset border. A treasure trove of antique shops and quaint independents, there are two castles to explore. Sherborne’s magnificent Abbey is also well-worth a visit - it’s been dubbed Dorset’s Cathedral!

Chic and boutique! Rooms and suites come in a wide range of categories, including single, and many have garden views. Standard rooms have luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, robes and slippers and White Company toiletries. Garden Potting Shed suites feature underfloor heating, tri-fold doors, a private patio with fire pits and armchairs.

If you’re here on an overnight stay, you can check in to the hotel anytime from 3pm, while check out is at 11am. For spa days, check-in times vary, so it’s best to check your booking confirmation.

Yes it is. There are two fully accessible guest rooms, with wide entrance doors and walk-in showers. In total, seven ground-floor bedrooms provide easy access to guests with limited mobility and feature walk-in showers. The spa has wheelchair access and an accessible changing room.

Yes it is! Children of all ages are welcome at The Eastbury Hotel & Spa - although the spa itself is for adults-only. Two family rooms let you all spread out, or check your crew into one of the self-contained cottages with their cosy home-away-from-home feel. 

Kids will love playing lawn games like croquet, giant chess and table tennis in fine weather - and cosying up with board games if the sun’s not shining. They can let off steam in the enchanting gardens - head to the woodland area to check out the bug hotel!

If leaving your dog at home would put a dampener on your relaxing spa break, you’re in luck. The Eastbury Hotel is not just dog-friendly, it has lots of ways to make tails wag. Not only are there nine dog-friendly rooms, your best friend gets their own bed and bowl, along with treats, a dog toy and a welcome letter! There’s even a complimentary sloe gin for you.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes can stay for £25 per dog, per night and are welcome to join you at breakfast.

Swing by Sherborne Golf Club - it’s just a six-minute drive away and has 18 picturesque holes overlooking the Dorset countryside, designed by James Braid.
