The spa staff were friendly and helpful both during the booking process and the treatment. The treatment rooms were comfortable and relaxing, and the massages very professional. The leisure area had a good size pool which was great for swimming once you acclimatised to the temperature, and there was also a small sauna and steam room. The hotel is a lovely grand building with decent decoration, and good cleanliness. Unfortunately our booking wasn't initially found by reception even though the Spa knew we were coming! However after a short delay we were able to check-in earlier than expected, and the reception staff were helpful. Dinner was self-service carvery, and the food quality was okay, however there was only one vegetarian option of veg lasagne. The location of the hotel is excellent, you can walk into Buxton town centre in 3mins, and the Opera House and historic Baths are just round the corner. Over-all we enjoyed our break and thought it was good value for money.

From start to finish it was a excellent day. So relaxed, it wasn't over crowded. The lunch was lovely, the soup was delicious 😃 We will be back.

Good treatments, but limiting for any men attending with their wives. Good relaxation area, but spoiled by the thuds of the weights and the grunts of the gym below. No offer of a joint massage for couples (same room). Times of treatments could be pre sent to the participants, to help organise their day. Staff were helpful and friendly.
