Luckily, the UK’s most romantic town is also home to a hotel that is guaranteed to make you swoon. Tucked away in a leafy corner, just a short stroll from all of Bath’s best bits, the five-star Roseate Villa Bath is ready and waiting to welcome you.
Recent winner of TripAdvisor’s ‘Best of the Best’ boutique hotels, it’s perfect for an overnight escape crammed full of cosiness. Created from a matching pair of large Victorian houses opposite tranquil Henrietta Park, there’s curb-appeal a-plenty. But inside, the hotel is just as easy-on-the eye thanks to sweeping staircases and an immaculate decor.
And if it’s not a mini break unless you’re wallowing in warm water, you’re in luck. While there’s no swimming pool or spa, overnight packages to The Roseate Villa Bath come with a two-hour session at Thermae Bath Spa. Just a short walk from the hotel, this luxury experience lets you soak in naturally warm, mineral-rich water straight from Bath’s underground spring. Work your way round the heat and hydro experiences in the Wellness Suite. But nothing beats a bubbly soak in the rooftop vitality pool with its incredible skyline views.
The hotel may date back to Victorian times, but there’s heritage all around you too. Just around the corner from the iconic Pulteney Bridge, it’s a great base for exploring. Culture lovers can see a show at the Theatre Royal or head to Bath Abbey. Fabulous shopping at SouthGate Bath and Milsom Place are both nearby, or make the most of the great outdoors with a walk around Henrietta Park.
But the hotel’s prime location is only part of its attraction. The personality-packed Henrietta Bar beckons for Bridgerton-themed cocktails, while elegant afternoon teas can be sipped and savoured overlooking the Villa’s glorious gardens. And when you’re ready to call it a night, the hotel’s 21 bedrooms come with Hypnos beds, luxury bedding and top-notch toiletries, and many boast gorgeous views over the park.
