The hotel’s Health Club has an ultra-modern gym packed with resistance and cardiovascular equipment. Keep fit with friends at the exercise studio and Spin bikes. But there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to fitness here. Even competitive types are well-catered for thanks to the on-site golf course and tennis courts. 

Prefer to get your steps up in the fresh air? Nearby Cumbernauld is home to Palacerigg Country Park with its forest trails. But Glasgow has some interesting walks of its own. Try a two-hour stroll in Glasgow Necropolis, among the elaborate crypts and tombs.

Flemings Restaurant offers more than just its seasonal menu - it's an experience to savour. With breathtaking views over the golfing greens, enjoy comfort food classics or something from the grill, served with a perfectly paired glass of wine (or two).

In the mood for a lighter bite? Enjoy sandwiches, stone-baked pizzas and burgers from the comfort of the Lounge. There’s also The Grill Restaurant with champion views over the sprawling golf course.  Drink in all the action outside with a coffee or something bubbly in hand!

It sure does. The attractive indoor swimming pool at Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has 15 glorious metres to swim in, so it’s ideal for lengths, laps or just for lounging beside, book in hand. There’s also a spa bath, sauna and steam room to relax in after your swim.

Because the pool is at the hotel’s Health Club, families and children are welcome. The pool is adults only between 12pm and 3pm and after 6pm on weekdays.

Other than that, bring your gym kit, trainers and a water bottle so you can keep fit and have fun with a group class or work up a sweat in the state-of-the-art fitness suite. Don’t forget a good book for all that lounging you’ll be doing, and if your package includes dinner you might feel more comfortable if you’ve brought some smart-casual clothing to wear.

The hotel can be found on the outskirts of Glasgow, 15 miles from the city centre. Because it’s adjacent to the M80 motorway, the hotel is easily accessible from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. 

Although most guests use it as a base to enjoy Glasgow’s many attractions, the hotel and golf resort nestles in Cumbernauld, one of Scotland’s best-known new towns. Cumbernauld has some attractions of its own, such as Palacerigg Country Park with its nature trails, tree-top walkway and zoo.

Sporty types can play golf or tennis, while fitness lovers will enjoy the ultra-modern gym with its resistance and cardiovascular equipment. The big draw has to be the hotel’s proximity to Glasgow. Nearby attractions offer a mix of culture, history, adventure, and relaxation, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy during their stay.

Plant lovers should head to Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Just a 25-minute drive away from Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, it offers tropical plant life and beautifully landscaped gardens. The Clydeside Distillery is just a 28-minute drive, for tours and tastings of single malt whisky. Or try the Scottish Football Museum. Located at Hampden Park, a 30-minute drive away, it's perfect for football fans.

Don’t mind venturing further afield? The beautiful Loch Lomond is just an hour and 10 minutes away, for water sports and scenic walks.

Yes there is. Alongside 10 accessible parking spaces, the hotel has accessible Classic Double or Twin rooms. Wheelchair-friendly, they have wet rooms, wider doorways, grab rails and alarm pulls. Flemings Restaurant and bar is located on the ground floor. The spa and health club are on the first floor, accessible by public or disabled-access lifts.

Yes it is, with generously-sized family rooms, children‘s menus and activity packs. They can even join you on the golf course! There’s plenty for families to do nearby, with Glasgow Science Centre, R-Cade and The Climbing Academy all within a half-an-hour’s drive.

While treatments and thermal experiences in the spa are for those aged 16 and over, kids can splash in the indoor pool all day at weekends, and between 9am and 12pm and 3pm and 6pm on weekdays.

Love to pamper and putt? You’re in luck. A little birdie told us that the Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort resort does indeed have its own 18-hole golf course, and a fabulous one at that. Overlooking the spectacular Kilsyth and Campsie Hills, it was co-designed by golf legends Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas so you know you’re in for a treat! You’ll need to wear full golf attire and bring your own clubs to play.
